Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors

Control Diabetes For Life - 2009
Diabetes is a serious problem ... but research shows that if you keep your blood sugar close to normal you can reduce your chances of serious health problems. Take charge of what you eat. Get regular physical activity. Test your blood sugar. Take your medication as prescribed. Use these archived video presentations to help you learn as much as you can about diabetes.

Diabetes is a growing concern for children in the United States. "Diabetes and Me" is a presentation by Robert Kreikemeier of West Point, Nebraska when he was a college sophomore at Kansas State University. He talks openly about his life with Juvenile Diabetes to an audience of young people and their parents.

Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage and Education
Seniors and their family members need reliable, unbiased information on available Medicare Prescription Drug plans. Since 2004, UNL Extension and the Nebraska Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) have collaborated to provide that information on this website.

METH Educational Resources
One of rural America's and Nebraska's greatest challenges is the drug epidemic, especially methamphetamine. Individuals and communities need simple strategies to help combat this growing problem. Check out this UNL Extension site for parent and community resources.
