Master Conservationist Program Accepting EntriesNebraskans who have carried out a soil or water conservation projects can enter the 2010 Nebraska Master Conservationist program. Now in its 28th year, the program features categories in farming/ranching, community, youth group/individual, home yard or acreage. Entries are judged by professionals. Program details are available at local University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension, Natural Resources District, or USDA Natural Resources Services Offices, as well as the Omaha World Herald Website. Entries are due April 1, 2010. Master Conservationists will be recognized at the annual banquet of the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts in Kearney Sept. 27, 2010. The program is sponsored by the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at UNL and the Omaha World-Herald.
